Ghana Quick Reference Card 2027

A 2-page printable covering GHS exchange rates, Accra rent benchmarks, land prices, remittance corridors, and GRA tax basics.

Description

The Ghana Quick Reference Card is a printable 2-page PDF built for diaspora Ghanaians planning a return. It covers the GHS/USD and GHS/GBP exchange rate ranges over the last 12 months, rent benchmarks in Accra (East Legon, Cantonments, Airport Residential, Spintex) and Kumasi (Ahodwo, Santasi), the cost of a typical monthly food basket, and the standard remittance corridors (USD→GHS via WorldRemit, Wave, and traditional banks). It also includes land price ranges per square meter in East Legon, Spintex, and Greater Accra suburbs, plus a tax primer covering GRA PAYE, the 5% VAT on selected goods, and the diaspora-specific Homecoming provisions for returning residents. Ghana's relatively stable Cedi makes it one of the easier planning environments — but that stability can mask hidden costs. This card surfaces them.

Who it's for

Diaspora Ghanaians who want a single-page reference for return planning numbers. Especially useful for monthly review sessions.

Why I made this

Ghana felt like a 'stable' market until I started tracking the numbers month over month. This card forces that tracking into a single page.
